NSBE Spotlighted Leader: André (Dré) Willis

André (Dré) Willis

When did you first fall in love with NSBE?

When I joined NSBE in 1993.

What was your most memorable NSBE experience?

Attending the very first NSBE International Conference in Ghana, West Africa. This was my first trip to the Mother Land and it was a very emotional, educational, and life altering experience. To share this experience with my NSBE family, fellow students, Alumni, and Staff, is still one of my most memorable experiences.

Why you decided to be a NSBE Leader?

Because I developed a love for the organization and its mission that led me to give whatever I could to help bring it to fruition.

What do you feel you have gained from NSBE Leadership?

I have excelled tremendously in Corporate America largely due to the networks I built and the real life leadership experience I gained as a NSBE Leader. But more importantly, being a NSBE leader made me a better person because it opened my eyes to the issues in our community and made me see that it is my responsibility to give back and assist in making the community better.
